Ochake Commends Umuoha Women For Their Noble Roles In Nation Building

 

The Member representing Isiala Ngwa North State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Chief Collins Ugochukwu Iheonunekwu has commended women of the state for the noble roles they play in the development of the state in particular and the nation at large.

Hon. Iheonunekwu who made the call at Umuoha in  Isiala Ngwa North LGA during the August meeting of the women of the area, held at the St. Andrew's Primary School Play Ground Uratta, disclosed that women worldwide have contributed immensely in the development of the society.

The state lawmaker maintained that the annual August Meeting is timely and a veritable platform for women to unite, reflect and interact on development issues as well as proffer solutions to the challenges confronting them in particular, Isiala Ngwa North, the State and nation at large.

Ochake further urged them to utilize the unique opportunity the gathering provides to chart a new course for their wellbeing and Ndi Isiala Ngwa North while commending the Founder of Tina Atasie Foundation, Mrs Atasie Ibezimakor Tina for always bringing the women together through her foundation.

He also lauded Umuoha Women for putting the event together, stressing the need for them to give their children proper spiritual and educational training as well as remain a strong pillar of support to their husbands. 

The event which attracted notable personalities featured different cultural troupes, goodwill messages, cash gifts to the women by the state lawmaker among others.
